Bal Harbour Art Nights Celebrates the Grand Opening of the new Stella McCartney Store

I've been craving a little fashion in my life so I finally attended my first ever Bal Harbour Art Nights this past Wednesday, January 11th. The most important event on my agenda: to swing by Stella McCartney's new Bal Harbour Store. Bal Harbour Magazine hosted a cocktail party inside McCartney's store while customers perused through the designer's Spring/Summer 2012 ready-to-wear collection. During the event, I had the pleasure of making new fashionable friends (meet Danny and Alexie pictured above) and I also reunited with my fellow bloggers who I always love to see around town. If you missed this week's event, make sure you mark your calendar for February 8th and March 29th. That's when fashion and art will collide once again at the Bal Harbour Shops!

Sazoneros!!! Did you miss me? Can you believe that it has been an exact month since I last wrote a blog post? Happy New Year and get ready for a fabulous year of events, charities and your favorite celebrities on Miami Beats and Sazon. My very first event of the year was super fun so I had to share it with you. On Thursday, January 5th, I attended the grand opening party for Chalk Ping Pong and Billiards Lounge located in Miami Beach (1234 Washington Avenue). This place is not only a fun concept but it looks like you're actually hanging out at a sexy lounge on the beach. The 6,600-square-foot space features ping pong and pool tables, international beers, 12 LED flat screens, private game rooms, and a digital jukebox carrying more than 2,500 songs that can be streamed via a state-of-the-art turbo sound system. Does that sound entertaining or what?

If you're looking to host a party this year, consider Chalk's private rooms which can accommodate groups of up to 15 guests. Each private room features customizable audio that can be controlled via iPhone, as well as iPad cocktail service. The 290-person space also offers outdoor seating for 30 on its front terrace. Chalk is one of the only environmentally friendly lounges in South Beach, boasting an eco-conscious design that includes LED lighting, Dyson hand dryers, biodegradable cups, waterless urinals and emailed receipts.
During the grand opening event, Chalk was packed with people who were ready to have a good time. I personally played a little ping pong for about half an hour...talk about a work out!!! Regardless of your skill level, there is something for everyone and different spaces for you to enjoy. There are two bar areas as well as comfy couches throughout the lounge for those who want to hang out with friends while watching a others play. Tracy Wilson Mourning launches first Honey Child Pop-Up Shop at Aventura Mall

The mall is officially the place to be during this holiday season! Today, I ventured over to Aventura Mall to check out the grand opening of Tracy Mourning's (pictured on the right) new Honey Child pop-up shop located in front of the Apple store. The Honey Child Bath & Body Ritual Collection features a complete line of scrubs, washes, lotions and oils that according to Tracy, "envelops the body, calms the mind and kisses the soul." There are several distinctive scents you can choose from: Goddess, Soulmate, Lover, Kiss, Mother and Friend. I actually purchased my very first Friend Body Lotion earlier today and it still smells incredibly nice on my skin. Plus, part of the proceeds from all of the sales go directly to Tracy's charity, Honey Shine, a mentoring program to empower young girls in Miami. If you're planning on swinging by the Honey Child pop-up shop, you'll be happy to know that the store will be open to the public at Aventura Mall until January 2012. Alice and Olivia Designer, Stacey Bendet, visits Saks Fifth Avenue at the Bal Harbour Shops

Today was a colorful day of fashion in Miami! Alice and Olivia designer Stacey Bendet (pictured on the left) made a special appearance at Saks Fifth Avenue inside the Bal Harbour Shops this afternoon. I was extremely impressed by her personal sense of style: butterflies in her hair, bold chunky rings and an amazing pair of silver glittered shoes to complete her vibrant look! Stacey was in Miami to share her candy inspired 2011 Resort Wear Collection with fellow fashionistas. During the event, guests enjoyed an assortment of sweets like mini cupcakes, chocolate candies, pink lemonade and Coldstone ice cream. Guests were also encouraged to bring new and unwrapped toys or children's books to benefit Baby Buggy, an organization which helps needy families. The Miami City Ballet Luncheon at Neiman Marcus reveals the company's 2012 Season

It's beginning to feel a lot like Christmas and at the top of my wish list, I've added a must-see holiday classic: George Balanchine's The Nutcracker presented by The Miami City Ballet! After attending an exclusive luncheon in honor of the ballet company and its dancers at Neiman Marcus (located inside The Bal Harbour Shops) last month, I couldn't wait to share all of the exciting shows they have in store for their Miami audiences. During the luncheon, Plum TV personality Gerard Bush hosted an intimate Q&A session with three of the Miami City Ballet’s dancers: Principal Dancer Tricia Albertson, Principal Soloist Didier Bramaz and Corps Dancer Adrienne Carter. The dancers talked about their careers at the Miami City Ballet while highlighting personal anecdotes from their recent performances in Paris. In case you didn't know, The Miami City Ballet made its debut in Paris at the famed 2500 seat Théâtre du Châtelet, performing to standing ovations and sold-out houses. This is a great accomplishment we should all be proud of as Miamians!

This first ever 24 hour fashion show is actually being live streamed as we speak via E! and MTV online!!! Kelly Osbourne hosts a Material Girl Casting Call at Macy's Dadeland Mall in Miami

To all of my Fashion Police lovers out there, you'll be happy to know that Kelly Osbourne made a special appearance in Miami this weekend to host a Material Girl Casting Call at Macy's Dadeland Mall. The winner of the Lucky Stars casting call will be featured on ads that will debut in fashion and lifestyle magazines while becoming part of a digital and outdoor campaign and in-store Macy’s marketing collateral. Plus, the winner will receive a $5,000 cash prize. Pretty sweet if you ask me! On Friday, Kelly was joined by a celebrity panel of judges that included Joshua McKinley from Project Runway and DJ Jesse Marco (pictured on the right). After making a successful appearance for Madonna's fabulous clothing line at Macy's on Friday, Kelly made the news on Sunday night when she announced via twitter that she had cracked her head open while in Miami. It is still unclear how this all happened but she urged her fans to tune into The Talk today on CBS to hear all about her hospitalization. Cynthia Demos & Rik Rak Salon host "Karaoke for a Cause" to benefit the Charlee Program

I've been to many charity events around town but throw in a little karaoke and everyone transforms into a rockstar! On October 27th, CBS4 Anchor, Cynthia Demos, along with Rik Rak Salon hosted their first ever "Karaoke for a Cause" event in Brickell to raise funds and awareness for the CHARLEE Program. This not-for-profit social service agency provides for the needs of abused, abandoned, neglected and at-risk children in Miami-Dade County. During the event, CBS4's Jorge Estevez (pictured on the left along with Raquel Watters) encouraged attendees to sing for a good cause. I can honestly say everyone had a great time singing along to classic tunes! Isabel Toledo debuts 2012 Collection during Vanidades "Magia de la Moda" Fashion Show

Isabel Toledo, a Cuban-American designer, has been in the fashion industry for over 25 years and she is most recognized for designing the lemongrass dress and matching coat First Lady Michelle Obama wore on Inauguration Day in 2009. Isabel and her husband, Ruben Toledo, were in Miami last week to debut their Spring-Summer 2012 collection during this year's Funkshion Fashion Week. The couple showcased their latest designs at the 6th annual Vanidades ‘Magia de la Moda’ fashion event on Wednesday, October 19th. This was an incredibly impressive show sponsored by Pantene and Covergirl. I loved the Caribbean flare, the vibrant colors and the hats were distinctively creative! Prior to the runway show, Fashion Group International honored Isabel & Ruben Toledo with a Lifetime Achievement Award. Isabel (pictured on the right along with Ruben) launched her line in 1985 and was immediately celebrated internationally as a designer of rare and unique talent among the avant-garde fashion circles. Her collaboration with her husband and alter ego, artist Ruben Toledo, is unique in the history of fashion. Together, Isabel and Ruben represent the dynamic chemistry and fusion that exists between art and fashion. Queen Sofía of Spain Inaugurates the new "Centro Cultural Español" in Downtown Miami

I was incredibly honored and excited to receive an invitation for this regal event over the weekend: On Sunday, October 9th, Her Majesty Queen Sofia of Spain (pictured on the left) arrived in Miami to celebrate the grand opening of the new "Centro Cultural Español" (translation: Spanish Cultural Center) located at 1490 Biscayne Boulevard in Downtown. The Spanish Ministry of Culture introduced guests to the center's newest exhibition featuring environmental photography from Europe and Latin America! There were lots of movers and shakers at this royal event like Emilio Estefan and City of Miami Mayor, Tomas Regalado, who came with his daughter to the event. I was also able to meet my favorite Spanish heartthrob Alejandro Sanz who attended the event along with his beautiful girlfriend, Raquel Pereda. Guests enjoyed performances by Ernan Lopez Nussa (Cuban pianist), Jose Luis Rodriguez Trio (guitarist of Spain) and The Spam Allstars (local Latin funk band). Overall, it was a super fun experience! The Frost School of Music kicks off the 28th season of "Festival Miami" on September 30th!

I'm so excited to be sharing this year's Festival Miami with all of my Sazoneros! The University of Miami's Frost School of Music will officially kick off Florida’s premier, live music concert series, Festival Miami, on Friday, September 30th. In its 28th season, Festival Miami features a diverse blend of performers showcasing their talents alongside brilliant students and faculty artists. The program includes over 20 concerts organized into four themes: Great Performances; Creative American Music; Jazz and Beyond; and Music of the Americas. There are so many highlights for this year's festivities! Guests will be able to enjoy the sounds of legendary musicians like NEA Jazz Master Benny Golson, singer-songwriter Jackson Browne, singer-songwriter Livingston Taylor, salsa music master Willy Chirino (pictured above), and the vivacious Lucy Arnaz who will be performing a special tribute to her father, Desi Arnaz, on Thursday, October 3rd. Miami Magazine celebrates their 4th Year Anniversary at Fontainebleau Miami Beach

It was an incredible weekend in Miami! On Saturday, September 24th, Miami Magazine celebrated their 4th Year Anniversary with an elegant soiree inside the Glimmer Ballroom at the Fontainebleau Miami Beach. The party was hosted alongside Friends of the New World Symphony who officially kicked off their new season of programming that same night! Guests enjoyed a special performance by DJ Walshy Fire as well as a live performance by Jorge Mejia and The Green Room. After checking out the beautiful Audi parked inside the party (pictured above), guests were also provided with complimentary Grey Goose Vodka cocktails, wine and light bites. Cubavera hosts a Cuban inspired Fashion Show to celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month

Cubavera, Miami’s own Latin inspired fashion brand, kicked off Hispanic Heritage Month along with Ocean Drive Magazine and Miami International University of Art and Design by hosting a 1950's Cuban themed fashion show on Thursday, September 22nd. Guests enjoyed hors d’oeuvres by Macys Catering, authentic Cuban cocktails by Bacardi and a special musical performance by Axis. During the event, I ran into Suzy Buckley (pictured below along with Anastasia), Editor-In-Chief of Ocean Drive Magazine, and I also spotted celebrity guest Maria Celeste Arraras (pictured on the left), host of Al Rojo Vivo on Telemundo. In the true spirit of Hispanic Heritage Month, students from Miami International University of Art and Design were invited to showcase their own Guayabera inspired designs for the chance to take home the grand prize of $1000 and an exclusive paid internship at Perry Ellis International’s headquarters in Miami. It was definitely a festive night full of fashion, live Latin music and inspiration from all of the talented young designers in attendance. Viva la Hispanidad!

Our favorite celebrity blogger, Perez Hilton, was in town this past weekend to debut his new children's book called "The Boy With Pink Hair." On Friday, September 16th, Perez along with an intimate group of friends and family attended an exclusive book signing and cocktail event at the Eden Roc Renaissance Miami Beach. The event definitely attracted Miami's movers and shakers including Emilio Estefan, Roy & Lea Black, Marysol Patton and Adriana de Moura. During the event, I had the pleasure of meeting Perez Hilton's lovely mother as well as a couple of his cousins. It was an intimate affair where guests enjoyed cocktails by Martini & Rossi Moscato d'Asti and light hors d'oeuvre. The Miami Dolphins Cheerleaders Unveil their 2012 Swimsuit Calendar at LIV Nightclub

When I say hurricanes can't stop us in Miami...it really is true! On Wednesday, August 24th, the Miami Dolphins Cheerleaders hit the catwalk inside LIV Nightclub at the Fontainebleau to unveil their 2012 swimsuit calendar. This annual fashion show featured a special line up of sexy bikinis mixed with flirty costumes to highlight every month of the year. Guest enjoyed amazing music by Miami's own DJ Irie who kept the show sizzling till the very last song! Throughout the event, attendees were able to purchase their copy of the calendar and the cheerleaders even signed copies for the fans after the fashion show. Proceeds from last night's event benefited the Miami Dolphins Foundation which is devoted to providing and supporting signature education, health, youth athletic programs and volunteer activities that inspire and engage communities throughout Florida. The 2012 calendar, shot on the grounds of Puerto Plata on the Dominican Republic's northern coast, costs $15.99 and can be purchased online at Dolphins.com. Enjoy my pictures and video!

Dressing up for a themed party is always a good thing! On Saturday, August 6th, Nick D'Annunzio [pictured on the right], Partner of Tara Ink, celebrated his birthday at Cafeina Wynwood Lounge with a full blown cowboy themed party that included bull rides, haystacks and harlots. In lieu of gifts, guests were given the opportunity to donate to the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Southern Florida. This is one of my favorite local charities so make sure you check out their website to learn about the organization's mission. During last night's festivities, I definitely ran into familiar faces like Miami's hottest diva, Miss Elaine Lancaster (pictured on the left). Did I mention I had the chance to ride the mechanical bull at the party? It was my first time riding a bull and it was super fun. One word of advice: whatever you do...always hold on tight! Cheers to a fabulous party and to all the beautiful people who came out to support the Make-A-Wish Foundation of South Florida. Happy birthday NICK!

Miami is buzzing about "Cirque Éloize iD"

Sazoneros! Have you missed me? After covering this year's Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week in Miami, I decided to take a small hiatus. I'm officially back and I've been sifting through all of Miami's coolest upcoming events for you. What did I discover? August is kind of a big deal in Miami's social calendar. Today is the first day of Miami Spice and lets not forget that Miami Spa Month runs till August 31st. What is everyone buzzing about lately? I keep hearing positive reviews for Cirque Eloize iD which is currently being performed at the Adrienne Arsht Center. Created in collaboration with Cirque du Soleil, Cirque Éloize iD will take you on a fun journey through the heart of a city. The performance features acrobats, break dancers, contortionists and a fearless stunt biker. Every cirque show I've attended is truly breathtaking so make sure you check out this modern-day circus. Have Faith Swimwear turns up the heat at Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Swim

One of the final swim shows I attended on Monday night featured Have Faith Swimwear. In 2010, Designer Jennifer Stano launched Have Faith Swimwear along with her husband Alki David in Beverly Hills, California. After checking out their sexy designs on the runway, I can see why they're making major waves in the swimwear industry. The line has been a huge hit with celebrities such as Miranda Kerr, Jennifer Love Hewitt, and Giuliana Rancic who are all fans of this luxurious brand. During Monday's show, guests caught a quick glimpse of music artist Ne-Yo, who conveniently came in at the start of the Have Faith show. He sat front row listening to his own music on the runway, as designer Jennifer Stano walked out in her own jewel-toned bikini design alongside model Rachel Bernstein. Cheetah Girl Adrienne Bailon was also spotted amongst the crowd and on the runway. My favorite look from the show was this flashy rockstar bikini [pictured on the left] worn with a pair of knee high black studded boots. Although I probably wouldn't wear that to the beach, I might get away with this look at a really chic pool party in Miami! Swim Week is officially over in Miami but there are plenty of shows and swimsuits to share with you! On Monday, July 18th, Peruvian Swimwear Designer Lilian Villalobos showcased her 2012 Aguaclara Collection during this year's final day of Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Swim. If you like edgy swimwear, this is definitely a designer you should have on your radar. The brand is most recognized for designs that are influenced by the Amazon so expect to see lots of exotic patterns and shapes. Aguaclara produces more than 15,000 pieces a month, provides jobs for more than 300 people and has 7 boutiques in its native country of Peru. Impressive right? Cia Maritima brings a Brazilian flare to Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Swim

Cia Maritima is the largest producer of beachwear in Brazil so you can imagine how incredibly hot this post is about to get. Last night, Benny Rosset (Designer of Cia Maritima) presented his 2012 collection at The Raleigh Hotel during this year's Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Swim in Miami Beach. The high-end collection featured an array of patterned swimsuits that were topped off with elegantly draped cover-ups. My favorite pieces from the show were actually the beautifully fringed handbags sprinkled throughout the collection which I saw in various shapes, sizes and colors. Some of the swimsuits also had these fringes so it added a nice little detail to each look. Designer Mara Hoffman brought her signature bohemian inspired swimwear to Miami Beach last night during her show at Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Swim. On Saturday, July 16th, reality star Whitney Port attended Mara Hoffman's show to see the new 2012 Resort collection at The Raleigh Hotel. After traveling to countries like Egypt and Mexico, Mara Hoffman presented a mystical and tribal collection featuring bold and colorful prints. My favorite highlights included colorful embroideries inspired by Mexican Serapes and images of "King Tut" on a one piece swimsuit [pictured below]. I also noticed a new trend in swimwear this year: the high-waisted bikini! You'll notice some bikinis in Mara Hoffman are accentuated by beads and colorful straps. Hoffman's designs are highly sought after by celebrities like Rihanna, Kim Kardashian, Ashley Tisdale and Blake Lively. This is definitely a collection to keep your eyes on because it is unique in every way!

Mixing bikini colors never looked so good! On Saturday, July 16th, Caffe Swimwear Designer Paula Saavedra brought her Colombian sazon to Miami this weekend as she showcased her 2012 Resort collection at this year's Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Swim. I honestly fell in love with the elegant cover-ups and handmade beach bags shown throughout the show. It was the kind of swimwear that makes you want to get all glammed up for a weekend tropical getaway! The Caffe collection featured vibrant hues of reds, fuchsias, lemons, orange, turquoises and blues. When asked to describe the Caffe brand, Saavedra says it's "a lifestyle of relaxed luxury." On Friday, July 15th, Angela Chittenden presented her sexy Beach Bunny Swimwear 2012 Cruise Collection at The Raleigh Hotel in Miami Beach. If you love to attract attention on the beach with jewels, sequins, feathers or animal prints, this is definitely a collection for your inner diva. Last night's show was headlined by Victoria Secret and Sports Illustrated supermodel, Kate Upton [pictured on the left] who collaborated with Beach Bunny to create her own designs for the brand. During the show, guests previewed the new Kate Upton for Beach Bunny collection as well as the Beach Bunny Bride collection. This exclusive bridal swimwear line features a variety of white swimsuits and cover-ups seductively adorned with Chantilly lace, Swarovski crystals and hand beaded pearls. If you're a "soon-to-be-bride" or have a friend who's tying the knot, this is a fabulous find! For those who like to know about the celebrities in attendance, I spotted Adrienne Bailon [pictured on the right] from "Keeping up with the Kardashians" as well as Ocean Drive Covergirl and Sports Illustrated supermodel Chrissy Teigen. On Thursday, July 14th, thousands of journalists from around the world arrived at The Raleigh Hotel to see the latest trends in swimwear! It's official: Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Swim has begun and the celebrities are flocking to South Beach. During last night's Diesel show, reality star Kristen Cavallari hit the catwalk in an amazing royal blue swimsuit [pictured on the left]. This fun piece worn by Kristen is actually part of Diesel's new SKYY Vodka capsule collection! The new Diesel collection featured looks for both men and women. There were stripes, bold colors and beach bags so check out my photos below. After the swim show, everyone headed over to the Raleigh Hotel's pool deck & oasis to enjoy the official kick-off party for this year's Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Swim in Miami. This invitation-only party featured refreshing cocktails by SKYY Vodka and music by celebrity DJs. Miami is officially getting sexier by the minute! Swim Week has arrived my Sazoneros and I'm so excited to bring you all of the highlights from the shows I'll be attending. Last night, Miami Magazine hosted their fourth annual Splashion event at LIV Nightclub inside the Fontainebleau Hotel in Miami Beach. This gnarly beach themed fashion show featured swimwear collections by BECCA by Rebecca Virtue, Betsey Johnson, Jag, Jantzen, Perry Ellis, Masquenada and La Martina [to name a few]. Guests enjoyed Cointreau cocktails and Voga Italia Wines while indulging in complimentary beauty demonstrations by Elemis Spa and Rik Rak Salon. This was definitely the place to be seen last night so make sure you check out the video I added to this post if you missed it!

Alonzo and Tracy Mourning host The Crown Royal Black Lounge to kick off Irie Weekend

It's always a party in Miami if DJ Irie is spinning his beats on the turntables! This past weekend, DJ Irie celebrated his 7th Annual three-day action packed charity event called "Irie Weekend" and he also introduced his recently founded Irie Foundation. To kick off the weekend's festivities, Alonzo and Tracy Mourning [pictured on the left] hosted an exclusive party at Mokai in South Beach. Guests who attended "The Crown Royal Black Lounge" enjoyed complimentary cocktails and music by celebrity DJ Jazzy Jeff. All proceeds raised throughout the weekend benefited the Irie Foundation and the Make-A-Wish of Southern Florida. Throughout the evening, celebrities joined DJ Irie to kick off the weekend in true Miami fashion. I spotted Reggie Bush, Suzie Ketchum and Jonathan Vilma showing their support for this great cause. The Irie Foundation seeks to improve the lives of South Florida youth through educational and extracurricular opportunities that may not otherwise be available to them. With a particular emphasis on the arts, the foundation's ultimate goal is to improve the graduation rate among the young people it serves. Middle school students will be mentored and encouraged to remain in the program through high school and will receive scholarship money towards college or trade school tuition. Hometown Model, Francesca Frigo, shares her Beauty Secrets and Life as a Playboy Playmate

It's officially summer so I've decided to turn up the heat to muy caliente! Although our city is saturated with models, it's inarguable that Miami's own Francesca Frigo is making big moves in the modeling industry and bringing sexy back while doing so! Born in Puerto de la Cruz, Venezuela, Francesca first moved to Miami to attend college and later decided to pursue a modeling career. After Playboy Magazine named her the official Miss August 2010 Playmate, life has taken her on an incredible journey around the world. In my special interview with Frigo, you'll get the inside scoop on her upcoming projects, her role with DECOBIKE on South Beach and her beauty secrets. Let's get this heat rising! MBS: How did you begin your modeling career and what inspired you to enter the industry? [Picture above courtesy of Wildcard Photography]

FRIGO: As funny as it may sound, I have to say I started taking pictures by accident. A friend of mine asked me to do him a favor and take some pictures for his vodka company. That's when the camera and I met for the first time.

MBS: How do you stay in shape?

FRIGO: I love playing sports (anything that involves physical activity and laughing). I also workout at the gym 3 to 4 times a week. I don't kill myself counting calories! I grew up having homemade meals so I don't eat a lot of processed foods. However, I do have a crazy sweet tooth...chocolate is my weakness!

MBS: Do you have any beauty secrets you can share with my readers?

FRIGO: My mom always told me the less make-up I wear, the healthier my skin would become. Similar to other girls, I love make-up but I only wear it when it's necessary. Of course, one should never go to bed with make-up on. My beauty secrets: Trish McEvoy body scrub and Carol's Daughter almond cookie body lotion keep my skin glowing.

MBS: How has your life changed after being named Playboy Magazine’s August 2010 Playmate? [Francesca is pictured above along with Hugh Hefner]

FRIGO: Now, I have a whole new family at the Playboy Mansion and I basically live out of a suitcase. I have done a lot of traveling, shoots, commercials and I recently finished filming a movie. Yes, my life has changed a bit!

MBS: What do you love most about DECOBIKE and how do you feel about being their Ambassador? [Check out her picture on the left with fellow Ambassador, Chad Ochocinco].

FRIGO: DECOBIKE is a project I have been involved with since its conception. I loved the idea of bringing a healthy mode of transportation that would also be good for the environment. I'm happy to be supporting a company with a cause that I believe in.

MBS: What are your favorite places to visit when you’re in Miami?

FRIGO: Sometimes I feel as if I were a tourist in Miami. I can always be found walking around Ocean Drive and Lincoln Road. I often check myself into hotels on the weekends to get spa treatments and just order room service [it's honestly the best restaurant]! Both, the Four Seasons Hotel and the Mandarin Oriental have amazing spas. The Setai on South Beach has the best brunch in the world!

On Tuesday, June 7th, I attended the grand opening of SEE, the largest optical retailer in the U.S., in South Miami (5826 Sunset Drive). This one-of-a-kind hot spot features frames from the top designers in the world who create designs exclusively for SEE. During the event, guests enjoyed sipping on specialty cocktails by Zignum Mezcal and Japanese fusion tapas by RA Sushi in South Miami. Among the fabulous guests, I ran into Norma Quintero (Miami Socialite and Philanthropist), Raquel Watters (Owner of Rik Rak Salon) and Tara Solomon (Principal of TaraInk PR) who are all pictured above. Dirty Vegas collaborates with the New World Symphony to present Synesthesia in Miami

Miami's New World Center is easily becoming the world's most exciting place to experience music on a whole new level. On Saturday, June 4th, music lovers had the chance to check out Synesthesia at the New World Center sponsored by Lincoln. Synesthesia is a show that fuses house music with the sounds of a live classical symphony orchestra. The show's concept is the first of its kind in the United States. This weekend's performance was headlined by Grammy Award winners Dirty Vegas (pictured above) who took over the turn tables as the New World Symphony rocked their instruments. Prior to the electric event, guests were able to enjoy a VIP reception featuring food by BLT Steak and martinis by Bombay Sapphire. Since the event was also sponsored by Miami Magazine and The Betsy Hotel, guests were invited to an exclusive after party at the trendy South Beach hotel to continue the celebration of this new musical production.

If you didn't have a chance to check out Dirty Vegas and the 30 piece symphony orchestra, stay tuned because Synesthesia will debut three additional shows in the near future: Latino music, world music and R&B music. Synesthesia provided everyone in the room with a full sensory experience. While listening to the music, attendees gazed at amazing visuals by one of the world's top female VJ's, Laurence Gartel of Psyberpixie. The visual mixing was incredible because every beat of the music synchronized with the images on the projector. Synesthesia also used scent creating technologies during the show similar to those used by Cirque Du Soleil and Disney. Overall, it was an unforgettable night so watch out for more upcoming shows in Miami!

Covergirl brings Taylor Swift's Speak Now World Tour 2011 to the Bank Atlantic Center

Taylor Swift is a talented beauty inside and out. On Thursday, June 2nd, I had the pleasure of meeting this young starlet before she graced the stage at the Bank Atlantic Center for her Speak Now World Tour 2011. The tour is sponsored by Covergirl so that means fans can visit the Covergirl station located at the entrance of the arena to receive complimentary make-up applications before the concert begins! I also saw lots of fun memorabilia for fans to purchase. South Florida fans definitely made their love shine through the entire arena last night so I know tonight's show will be amazing as well. Above: On our way to meet Taylor Swift, we walked through her intimate green room which featured pictures of Taylor on the walls. I loved the Moroccan feel of this room. Plus, fans were able to check out a display of her elaborate costumes as they walked around.

The answer: Taylor revealed it's a new scent she's working on. Seems like there will be a new perfume entering the market soon. Watch out Taylor fans. Kim Kardashian was in South Florida on Saturday, May 14th, to meet and greet her fans at Macy's inside Aventura Mall. The occasion? The launch of her latest fragrance, Kim Kardashian Gold! During her appearance this weekend, Kim wore a stunning multi-colored Rachel Roy dress. The business mogul's new perfume drew hundreds of fans to the department store where the first 300 customers who purchased the Kim Kardashian Fragrance Package for $130 were given a chance to meet the star and receive a complimentary photograph with her. The Kim Kardashian Fragrance Package included a 3.4 oz. Eau de Parfum Spray, and a 3.4 oz. Spray of Kim Kardashian Gold. Earlier this month I attended an event hosted by Procter & Gamble called "Orgullosa de mi Belleza" [translation: Proud of my Beauty] at the luxurious Mandarin Oriental Hotel in Brickell. The event celebrated beauty amongst influential Latinas and top beauty writers in Miami. Since it was an afternoon of pampering, guests enjoyed complimentary mini-manicures, massages, consultations and hair treatments. Tracy Mourning hosts the 9th Annual Honey Shine Hats Off Luncheon at Jungle Island

Get ready Miami: the Royal Wedding has started a new trend in our city. Since we don't get to wear such fabulous hats on a regular occasion, I loved the concept behind last week's 9th Annual Hats Off Luncheon benefiting Tracy Mourning's Honey Shine Mentoring Program. Members and sponsors of the organization attended the festivities at Jungle Island to support and raise funds for Honey Shine's vision which is to empower young girls to shine as women. As a program under the Alonzo Mourning Charities, Honey Shine is dedicated to enriching the lives of young girls (ages 8-18) that are living in at-risk situations in our inner-city communities. During the event, guests were able to meet some of these extraordinary young girls [who are affectionately called "Honey Bugs"]. Aside from a great cause, you can really see that the Honey Bugs love to participate in all of the bi-weekly workshops and especially their annual Camp Honey Shine that takes place every summer.
